Training

Glasgow Services Limited has a Mission Statement that we constantly strive to uphold, and that we believe reflects our commitment to high standards.  In order to demonstrate our commitment to this mission statement Glasgow Services Limited has set the following goals:

  • To provide quality training for the unemployed in Taranaki who would like to work as scaffolders and riggers in the oil and construction industry.
Pre-start interviews show us whether they are suitable and are able to learn the necessary industry requirements.
  • To provide quality training for existing scaffolders & riggers that have not obtained national qualifications in these fields as detailed in the HSE Act 1992.
Pre-start interviews show us what they know and what they need to improve on before any assessments are completed.
  •  To state clearly and precisely to these trainees the identified skills, knowledge and competencies that they will have to demonstrate to obtain acceptance as scaffolders and riggers under the HSE Act 1992.
Our Tutors must have advanced qualifications in the relevant industries and have good communication skills.
  • To develop training methods that differentiate between the significant and important skills, and those that are merely incidental.
We constantly communicate with industry to update information on revised practices.
  • To provide trainees with awareness of any and all potential hazards that are inherent in the construction, petrochemical and manufacturing industry sectors.
This is done by display and/or explaining case scenarios of events that could have or did have detrimental or disastrous outcomes.
  • To seek all opportunities to promote our training and trainees to employers in the construction, petrochemical and manufacturing industry sectors.
We have constant communication with relevant industry leaders and contractors relating to any training and education courses and to promote the trainees achievements for possible employment.
